Pre- Wedding Celebration
A Somalian & Bahamian Celebration
On the eve of their celebration, the Fatma’s family hosted Marvin’s family at the Pink Palms Boutique for a celebration and introduction to parts of their Somalian/Swahili culture.
During the celebration, the groom’s family was introduced to the Somalian tradition where the bride makes her entrance to the reception accompanied by her aunts and sisters chanting and dancing along. They danced to traditional music, the groom was then ceremoniously ushered in.
Additionally, guests got to feast on an array of Somalian & Swahili cuisine such as Bariis iskukaris, Lamp chops, Chapatis and Mandazi.
This really marked off the beginning of a wonderful celebration to come along.
First Touch & First Look
Working with couples to do First look & First touch is an amazing time for the couple to ease in on their special day.
During our session, we were constrained for time but as well most of the grounds were wet after a massive storm.
Additionally, I wanted somewhere private as well to give my couple Marvin & Fatma a spot where we could get those emotions rolling before heading to the ceremony.
Evening Celebration
A look at the evening ceremony and reception held slightly before sunset. The couple, their family and friends were celebrated and hosted a Junkanoo band which is part of the Bahamian tradition.
The essence of this was wedding was community, intimate and celebration of their culture.
" Jupiter is an exceptional photographer, not only does he capture the beautiful moment of your special day but he blends into the family and bridal party seamlessly! It’s like having a good friend capture your wedding.Working with creatives is usually tough because their businesses are so disorganised. That’s not the case with Jupiter’s business. Everything is super organized, automated and he is ALWAYS on time. He will be our photographer for life.
Highly recommend !!!"
